The Approximation of the Distance of Two: Chapter 1: The Reception for Joining Clubs is Over Here; Present: 1.4km; 18.6 remaining

Chapter 1 The Reception for Joining Clubs is Over Here
1. Present: 1.4km; 18.6 remaining

Although the road is wide and the pavement also is brand new, I can’t catch sight of the passing automobiles. Only Kamiyama High School students are going back and forth dressed in gym uniforms. At the mountain at the back of the school, there’s a trail attached to it that seems to have been tailored entirely for this Hoshigaya Cup. From behind, I expect Ibara to be approaching. Before that, I want her to clearly recall to me the incident at the time of the Freshman Recruiting.
I wonder how much more there is of the remaining postponement. Let me think about it.
The next class has yet to start not until after a three minute interval is placed from the preceding class. I’m in Class-A while Ibara is in Class-C, which means I am six minutes ahead of her.
So far, I collectively came running around the first kilometer with this pace. After suffering from an uphill, I was a little late with catching up to Satoshi. On average, I’d be running at a pace of about a slower jogging.
In between that, a human being can easily walk a speed of between four kilometers per hour. If that’s the case, can one run at a speed twice of that? I was reading a novel the other day and that day was quite vague, so I can’t use it as a reference. Anyways, well, I am thinking about running with moderate steps exactly midway. Six kilometers per hour. I’ll see if Ibara ever decides to run 7km per hour a little earnestly. If that’s the case, then even if I were six minutes ahead of Ibara, she will eventually catch up with me whatever amount of kilometer is in between.
If it ever happens.
Division and multiplication make the inside of my head turn around in circles. On top of that, if I suppose that my math grades didn’t come out bad, then the reason is that the arithmetic isn’t that advanced. Simply, if one were to master and do all the arithmetic in their heads, then there won’t be any need to use their notebook and pencils. Additionally, as I am running, my head is not in a working condition as usual. Although I have to find a solution, it’s no use and I’ll have to take my time. While this seems like an excuse, the distance, time, and speed of the marathon is turning.
Uhh… Probably, it’s drawing close to about seventeen meters per minute. To catch up is 41 kilometers. And to estimate the distance of two… Well, that’s that. There’s probably nobody behind me like that.
‘How much of the time and distance I have not run do I not have to run still?’ I have spent the distance and time just calculating this. It’s an idiotic story. There are two methods to get back the wasted distance and time. One is for me to run diligently.
And the other one is I remember something about that day that only I could do smoothly.
That day is… As the same with somebody today. I remember that it was sunny then.
However, I have no doubt that today’s weather was cold.
Note: And I’m too lazy to edit my previous translations but Houtarou hasn’t finished the 20km in the previous chapters, just in case somebody’s confused.
